Armenia's Malkhas Amoyan Wins Bronze at Paris Olympics
Armenia’s Malkhas Amoyan won a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics after besting Aram Vardanyan, representing Uzbekistan, in the Greco-Roman wrestling 77 kg weight category.
This was Amoyan’s first Olympics performance and Armenia’s second medal win at the Paris Olympics.
Amoyan, twenty-five, was born in Yerevan and won a gold medal in the 77 kg event at the 2024 European Wrestling Championships held in Bucharest, Romania.
Artur Davtyan clinched a silver medal in the vault competition earlier this week.
Armenia’s Artur Aleksanyan will fight for the gold medal in the 97 kg weight category of Greco-Roman style wrestling later today.
