Russian President Vladimir Putin, by telephone today, congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his birthday.

“Russian-Armenian relations are based on centuries-old traditions of friendship and mutual respect. We are in favor of these relations continuing to develop successfully for the benefit of the peoples of both countries. I wish you health, happiness, well-being, and success in your official work,” Putin told Pashinyan.

Pashinyan, according to his office, thanked Putin for his best wishes and thanked him for instructing Russian Railways to restore the railway sections Armenia’s Lori province destroyed by the recent heavy flooding.
