Yerevan: May 10 Border Deal Protest Rally
Armenian Apostolic Church Tavush Primate Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, who spearheaded a movement opposed to a border deal with Azerbaijan, addressed a huge crowd at yesterday’s rally in Yerevan’s main square.
The church official, who wants Nikol Pashinyan to resign as prime minister, promised more protest rallies and civil disobedience, if he doesn’t step down.
Galstanyan and his supporters began marching from Armenia’s Tavush Province to Yerevan on May 4. They reached the capital on May 9.
