Yerevan Court Reviews Evidence in 2020 Artsakh War Negligence Case
Yerevan’s Criminal Court today examined evidence in a case involving two Armenian army colonels accused of negligence that led to the death of all seventy-three soldiers in an Armenian military unit in the 2020 Artsakh war.
Colonels Gor Ishkhanyan and Never Martirosyan are charged with sending the soldiers to the Artsakh town of Hadrut that had already been captured by the Azerbaijani military.
All members of the Armenian military unit were encircled by the entrenched Azerbaijani military and killed near the Hadrut village of Aygestan.
Presiding Judge Artush Gabrielyan didn’t allow reporters into the courtroom during a review of confidential documents related to the case.
