Canada Sends Representative to Border Monitoring Mission in Armenia

Canada has sent Alexander Grushevskiy as its representative to join the European Union’s border monitoring mission (EUMA) in Armenia.

Canada is the first Third Contributing State supporting the Mission, the EUMA wrote in an X post yesterday.

The mission, deployed in Armenia in February 2023 with a two-year mandate, aims to contribute to stability in the border areas of Armenia, build confidence on the ground, conduct active patrolling and reporting, and to support normalization efforts between Armenia and Azerbaijan led by the President of the European Council, Charles Michel.
