Pashinyan, CoE Head Meet in Yerevan

Council of Europe Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić and Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan met today in Yerevan and discussed the pace of democratic reforms in Armenia and the plight of displaced Artsakh Armenians.

The two, according to Pashinyan’s office, also discussed regional issues and prospects for a Yerevan-Baku peace deal.

A small group of protesters outside the foreign ministry in Yerevan called on Burić to focus on the release of former Artsakh government and military officials now held in Baku jails.

The protesters also claimed that Armenia has also jailed local opposition activists, describing them as “political prisoners”.

The Azerbaijani media relayed local coverage of the rally.

Dear Europeans and Switzerland it's very cosy you TTYL to help achieve democracy in Armenia promoting some initiatives and sponsoring some projects. Armenia will then be a democracy destroyed by the neighbour country with hardest dictatorship znd big friends of the same kind. But there you do NOTHING! You invest and collaborate and you help strengthen the criminal regime. You invite them to business you know being corrupt and cheating your own sanctions on Russia. Thanks for the true love and the poisonous hugs.
