Azerbaijan Slams April 5 Armenia, E.U., U.S. Meeting
Azerbaijan has described a scheduled meeting between Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels on April 5 as “one-sided and biased”.
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Aykhan Hajizada, in a statement, argues the meeting “creates new dividing lines and so-called spheres of influence in the region, instead of encouraging the Armenian side to negotiate in good faith.”
Hajizada also criticized France for “militarizing” Armenia and called out Greece for agreeing to deepen military cooperation with Armenia.
Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan last week announced the officials will discuss steps to hasten trilateral cooperation and strengthen Armenia’s “resilience.
