Yerevan police are looking for a twenty-five-year-old man who is suspected of robbing a U.S. citizen on March 21 in Lovers Park.

Armenia’s Investigative Committee says video cameras in the area show the suspect hitting the victim from behind with an air gun, snatching her handbag, and then fleeing on foot.

During his escape, the suspect removed the victim’s wallet and threw the bag aside. The gun, strapped to his waist, fell to the ground.

The park, opposite the American University of Armenia, was renovated fifteen years ago and is a well-known green respite for locals that holds open-air movie screenings and live concerts.
