The Caucasus Nature Fund allocated 1.083 million euros to Armenia in 2023.

Recipients included the Khosrov Forest State Reserve (133,000 euros), the Zangezur Biosphere Complex (336,000 euros), the Dilijan National Park (184,000euros), Lake Arpi National Park (55,000 euros), and the Arpa Protected Landscape (95,000 euros).

The Arpa Protected Landscape, the country’s first community-managed protected area, includes the arid and rocky Gnishik Gorge that is home to an incredible variety of plant and animal life, including the bezoar goat.
