Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan today thanked departing Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Badakhshan Zohuri for his years of service to strengthen ties between their two countries during a very difficult period for Armenia.

The two, according to Mirzoyan’s office, discussed various agenda issues of Armenian-Iranian cooperation, noting the high level of political dialogue between the two countries during Zohuri’s posting in Armenia.

 It was emphasized that cooperation between the two countries stems from the imperative to face regional challenges, as well as from the historic friendly ties between the two peoples.

Reference was made to the vision of the two countries to establish peace and stability in the South Caucasus and to the efforts in that direction.
