Pashinyan, Erdoğan Discuss Normalization Process
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan today, by telephone, discussed the process aimed at normalizing relations between their two countries.
The two, according to Pashinyan’s office, focused on the implementation of an earlier agreement to open the land border for holders of diplomatic passports and citizens of third countries.
Pashinyan’s office adds that Pashinyan congratulated Erdoğan on Kurban Bayramı (Feast of the Sacrifice), a major Muslim holiday commemorating Prophet Ibrahim's readiness to sacrifice his son to show his faithfulness to God. Erdoğan, in turn, is said to have congratulated Pashinyan on the holiday of Vardavar, the Feast of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ.
