Armenia and Turkey square-off today in a Euro-2024 qualifying match in Yerevan’s Republic Stadium.

The teams are in the 4th selection group along with Croatia, Wales and Latvia. The first and second place teams in the ten qualifying groups will advance to the final round of the European Championship to be held in Germany.

Armenia ranks 95th and Turkey, 44th, in the FIFA classification table.

Armenia’s footballers met with Turkey twice in the 2010 World Cup. In the qualifying round of the championship on September 6, 2008. Turkey won 2-0 in Yerevan. Turkey won by the same score on October 14, 2009.
