Armenian Apostolic Church faithful today, in Yerevan, celebrated the Antasdan liturgy of prayer for the world to prepare for tomorrow’s Feast of the Presentation of Jesus to the Temple (Dyarnuntarch-going forward to the Lord”)

The Dyarnuntarch feast always falls on February 14—forty days after the Nativity (January 6).

During the Antasdan ceremony, there are readings from Scripture, hymns and prayers offered that speak to the Holy Cross of Christ.

The faithful, carrying candles set alight in churches, then light bonfires in the courtyards of the churches as a symbol of the light of Christ.
