Armenian Foreign Minister, EU Special Rep Discuss New Civilian Mission
Armenia Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan today, in Brussels, met with EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Tovio Klaar and Magdalena Grono, the Senior Advisor on Foreign Policy of the President of the European Council.
Mirzoyn’s office reports they discussed the EU’s decision to deploy a new civilian monitoring mission in Armenia, noting it will contribute to ensuring security and stability in the region.
Mirzoyan told the officials that Azerbaijan is undermining Armenia's efforts to establish peace in the South Caucasus with its actions and rhetoric.
They also discussed the process to normalize Amenia-Azerbaijan relations.
