$40 Million Went to Assist Karabakh War Refugees in Armenia, Says U.N. Office
The United Nations office in Armenia reports that US$40.4 million was collected and allocated by the Armenia Inter-agency Response Plan (IARP) to assist Armenians who fled Artsakh to Armenia during the 2020 war.
The IARP was created following the 2020 Artsakh war to provide urgent humanitarian assistance and protection services to the 90,000 individuals arriving in Armenia as refugees.
The multiagency response, bringing together various U.N. agencies and others, was designed to complement the efforts on the Armenian government to assist the Artsakh refugees in Armenia.
