Second ‘3+3 South Caucasus Platform’ Meeting Slated in Turkey

On Sunday, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu announced that the next meeting of the 3+3 South Caucasus Cooperation Platform is scheduled to be held in Turkey.

Çavuşoğlu announced the news on the sidelines of Sunday’s Organisation for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting in Islamabad, after meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

Çavuşoğlu, according to a Daily Sabah article, said that Turkey believes Georgia will also attend the upcoming meeting.

The platform’s first meeting was held in Moscow on December 10 with delegations from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran and Armenia.

Representatives from Georgia were also invited but did not attend the first meeting.
