Armenian Court to Review Vayk Gold's Mining Permit
Armenia’s Administrative Court today decided to resume its review of the case to terminate Vayk Gold’s permit to operate the Azatek gold mine.
On February 17, 2020, Vayk Gold LLC filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, disputing an order of former Minister Suren Papikyan to terminate the company’s mining permit.
On November 3, the court finished the trial of the case and announced the day of publication of the judicial act, that is, November 22. However, that day the court did not publish the decision because Judge Arthur Avagyan was temporarily incapacitated.
Court staffers informed Hetq that the court did not publish the final act after returning to work but resumed the examination of the case.
