Armenia, Georgia Restore Rail Service
TASS reports that Georgia and Armenia are restoring railway service interrupted since March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The first train will leave on June 15 from Yerevan to Batumi according to Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava said at a briefing after a government meeting on Monday.
"I want to say that the railway communication between Armenia and Georgia has been restored. Already on June 15, the first train will leave from Yerevan to Batumi through Tbilisi. This means that tourists from our allied, neighboring state will come to Georgia, to our Black Sea resorts, to our capital and to other tourist destinations,” Turnava said at a briefing on Monday.
