Artsakh: New Housing for Former Avetaranots and Aknaghbyur Residents

Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan told former residents of the Askeran villages of Avetaranots and Aknaghbyur, now occupied by Azerbaijan, that the government has selected a number of sites where they can resettle together, as two new communities.  

Harutyunyan, according to a statement released by his office, told the residents that while the return of Avetaranots and Aknaghbyur remains high on his administration’s agenda, providing housing for the internally displaced is his priority.

Today’s meeting in Stepanakert was attended by the Ministers of Territorial Administration, Infrastructure, Urban Development, State Committee for Cadastre, State Property Management.
