Armenian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Anna Naghdalyan wrote in a Facebook post today that at no stage in the peace process was there a question of Armenian troops withdrawing from Shushi.

Naghdalyan’s statement counters what Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said earlier today before the National Assembly.

Pashinyan said that war could have been averted had Armenia agreed to return the seven territories outside Nagorno Karabakh proper, and Shushi, to Azerbaijan.
