Armenian National Assembly Speaker Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan and Chairperson of the Federation Assembly of Russia Valentina Matviyenko spoke by telephone today about the ongoing fighting along the Artsakh-Azerbaijan border.

Mirzoyan, according to a statement released by the Armenian parliament, noted Azerbaijan's non-observance of the ceasefire regime and the ongoing shelling of peaceful settlements, as well as the involvement of Turkish and international terrorists.

(Matviyenko, in simple parlance, is the speaker of the upper house of Russia's parliament.)
