Armenia's National Security Service Arrests Artsakh Army Officer for Spreading "Territory Return" Rumor

Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) reports that it has arrested an Artsakh Defense Army deputy platoon commander for spreading rumors that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has agreed to handing back territories to Azerbaijan in a compromise deal.

The NSS says the officer thus negatively impacted the moral and psychological condition of Armenian servicemen performing their combat duties.

The NSS says the rumor resulted in a number of servicemen leaving their posts and refusing to perform their military duties.

The NSS says that such rumors, made during a state of war, can be considered an act of high treason.

It is so sad, we don't need division He needs to be informed and get on with what he is doing. Under pressure people do all sorts. We need to stand united.
