
French Software Company Delegation to Visit Armenia
Armenian President Armen Sarkissian has invited a delegation from the European software company Dassault Systèmes to visit Armenia and discuss possible areas of cooperation.
Dassault Systèmes VP Christian Nardin and Senior Director for Academic Programs Xavier Fouger will head the delegation due to arrive in Yerevan on May 9.
According to an Armenian government press release, when Sarkissian visited France in November 2018 and February 2019, he held meetings with the leadership of the company and proposed looking into the possibilities of cooperation.
“The parties underscored the great potential for collaboration in the areas of education, science, and technologies as well as their readiness to implement joint programs. They also reached the agreement on the visit to Armenia of the company’s representatives. To call the agreement to life, the Dassault Systemes’ delegation will arrive to Armenia on May 9,” the press release reads.
Company representatives will visit Yerevan State University, French University of Armenia, Aib school, Quant college, Synopsis Armenia company, TUMO center of creative technologies, PicsArt and BetConstruct companies. They will also meet with representatives of local information technology companies.
Dassault Systemes is a subsidiary of Dassault Group, headquartered in France. The Group includes Dassault Aviation (an aircraft manufacturer of military and business jets), SABCA (an aircraft repair company), the Figaro Group (media), Immobiliere Dassault (real estate), Artcurial (auctions), and Château Dassault (wine).
